Nas Tyson, a senior at Forest Hills High School, became the second person in Union County to achieve 2,000 career points as a high school basketball player. Tyson hit 1,000 career points his sophomore year knowing he will be able to hit 2,000 by the time he graduated. “Hitting 2,000 career points, yes, it feels good but at the same time, I still have to work hard in order to stay at the same state. You have to keep pushing yourself,” says Tyson. The following weekend, after Tyson hit his 2,000 career points, he was given an offer from Lenoir-Rhyne. Tyson says that he has been to Lenoir-Rhyne’s games and has seen how they play, which is similar to how he is playing now, “fast paced.”  “The coach says he sees potential in me and a future leader coming in as a freshman and bringing the name back to where it was before,” said Tyson.
